Golf Glossary

Here are definitions of lots of words to do with golf.

Golf: Played by playing a ball from the tee and getting it into the hole via a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the golfing rules.

Gimme: A putt that is certain to be made on the next putt, most likely to be conceded by the opponent.

Birdie: When your score is one stroke under par for a particular hole.

Eagle: When your score is two strokes under par for a particular hole.

Bogey: When your score one over par for a particular hole.
